So this (and the previous work) marks a turning point for me. I think. For the past number of years I've been dabbling and trying to create digitally using Painter and to a lesser degree, Photoshop. Well, i've been using Photoshop and painter to color my scanned sketches for a long time, but recently I've been trying to do a wholly digital workflow.

It hasn't really been working.

So I've gone back to drawing and inking with Rapidograph pens, scanning then coloring with Photoshop. I think I'll get beter images. I colored this dwarf with Photoshop, made me realize how much I like Painter for that, but it's an old version of PS, and perhaps when CS5 comes out later this year It'll be a better experience. I really don't want to have to flip between programs too much. I scan using PS and make my web JPGs with PS, so it'd be nice to be able to color with PS as well.
